Individual Psychotherapy
At times, it can be difficult to put into words what feels unsettled. You may notice patterns that repeat, emotions that feel difficult to manage, or a sense that something is not quite where you would like it to be. Therapy offers a space to slow down and begin to make sense of these experiences in a way that feels thoughtful and grounded.
Learn About Me
Amanda Wulke, LICSW, LCSW
I find that to get to know a person there is often just as much learning about their present, as there is the past and future. Yet to begin the journey of knowing yourself it is often good to have a sense of where you've been.
This work began for me during the 2020 George Floyd protests and the COVID-19 pandemic. In doing so I came to appreciate how deeply we can impact the world around us. We are all shaped by our broader environments, the socioeconomic and political waters in which we all swim daily, yet we also influence them too. It seems to me that in a world that works so hard to convince us that we are not enough, it is a great act of justice indeed to learn to know ourselves and truly, deeply, love ourselves with all we can muster.
In my spare time, my cats are my little princessas, my dog my compass, and my books my heart.
Current reading favorites include the Quantum Thief by Hannu Rajaniemi (2010), The Cat Who Saved Books by Sosuke Natsukawa (2017), and Ghost of An Idea: Hauntology, Folk Horror, and the Spectre of Nostalgia by William Burns (2024).
Current community projects include a multimedia art peice and a “In My Feels” music playlist. All patients are invited to participate and welcome to join in the fun
