Play Therapy
We offer play therapy for children who may be experiencing anxiety, emotional or behavioral challenges, family transitions, trauma, grief, or difficulty expressing themselves.
Children often do not have the language to explain what they are feeling. Instead, they show us. They show us through play, through stories, through repetition, and through the ways they interact with the world around them. Play is not simply activity for a child. It is how they communicate, process, and make sense of their experiences.
In play therapy, we listen to this language carefully. Rather than asking children to explain what they feel, we meet them in the way they already know how to express themselves. Through toys, imagination, and symbolic play, children begin to work through emotions, experiences, and relationships in a way that feels natural and safe.
The space is created intentionally to feel supportive and steady. There is no pressure to perform or to explain. Over time, children often begin to build emotional awareness, develop coping skills, and gain a sense of confidence in their ability to navigate their inner world.
This work happens gradually and often quietly, but it can lead to meaningful and lasting change in how a child understands themselves and relates to others.
Finding the Right Fit
Not every therapeutic approach is right for every person or every season of life. We work collaboratively with clients to determine what type of support feels most appropriate, helpful, and aligned with their goals. Therapy can evolve over time, and the process is always shaped with care, thoughtfulness, and respect for each individual’s pace.
