EMDR / Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
We offer EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy for individuals seeking support in processing traumatic or distressing experiences.
There are moments in life that do not fully settle with time. Even when things appear to move forward, certain experiences may continue to show up in the form of anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional intensity, or a sense of being on edge. These responses are not signs of weakness, but rather the mind and body holding onto something that has not yet been fully processed.
EMDR and ART are approaches that support the brain in revisiting these experiences in a way that allows them to be integrated differently. Instead of reliving the intensity of what happened, the goal is to reduce the emotional charge connected to it, so it no longer feels as immediate or overwhelming.
This process is approached with care. We move at a pace that feels manageable, ensuring that the work remains grounded and supported throughout. The therapeutic relationship remains central, providing a sense of stability as deeper processing takes place.
Over time, many individuals begin to experience relief, a greater sense of regulation, and the ability to relate to past experiences without feeling defined by them.
Finding the Right Fit
Not every therapeutic approach is right for every person or every season of life. We work collaboratively with clients to determine what type of support feels most appropriate, helpful, and aligned with their goals. Therapy can evolve over time, and the process is always shaped with care, thoughtfulness, and respect for each individual’s pace.
