Psychoanalytic Therapy
Understanding the deeper patterns beneath the surface
We offer psychoanalytic therapy for individuals who are interested in a deeper and more reflective form of self exploration.
Through fellowship training with the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, this work is informed by an understanding that much of our emotional life exists outside of immediate awareness. Patterns in relationships, recurring emotional experiences, and certain internal conflicts often have roots that are not always fully visible on the surface.
Psychoanalytic therapy creates space to explore these layers with care and curiosity. Rather than focusing only on immediate solutions, the work allows for a broader understanding of how past experiences and internal dynamics continue to shape present day life.
Sessions are reflective and open ended. There is room to think, to notice, and to begin connecting experiences in new ways. Over time, this can lead to deeper insight, shifts in longstanding patterns, and a more integrated sense of self.
This approach is not about quick answers. It is about meaningful understanding and change that develops gradually, in a way that feels lasting and grounded.
Finding the Right Fit
Not every therapeutic approach is right for every person or every season of life. We work collaboratively with clients to determine what type of support feels most appropriate, helpful, and aligned with their goals. Therapy can evolve over time, and the process is always shaped with care, thoughtfulness, and respect for each individual’s pace.
