Beginning the Work

I offer therapy that stays close to the person or relationship in front of me. My work is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based thinking, and shaped by my ongoing fellowship with the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. That training shows up in how I listen, how I track patterns, and how I think about change over time.

I also draw from DBT, somatic work, and eye movement–based trauma approaches when they’re useful. These aren’t applied in a one-size-fits-all way—they’re brought in where they actually support what you’re working through.

I work with individuals, couples, and families. Sometimes people come in feeling stuck in something they can’t quite untangle. Sometimes it’s conflict, distance, or the same dynamic playing out again and again. We spend time getting a clearer sense of what’s happening underneath, while also building the capacity to respond differently in the moments that matter.

There’s room here to slow things down enough to really see what’s going on—internally and between us. From there, people tend to find themselves responding with more clarity, more flexibility, and a stronger sense of footing in their relationships and in themselves.

I’m grateful for the chance to do this work, and for the possibility of meeting you here. We would take this one step at a time. I have a lot of respect for the part of people that keeps moving toward something better, even when it’s hard to see clearly. We can lean into that together, and see what begins to open up from there. I’ll be glad to meet you.
